Deluxe Accommodations in Key West
Let's start with the Deluxe accommodations. You may already know a little about Casa Marina if you've already visited our Key West Hotels page. The grounds are perfect, the beach is private and pristine, you can play tennis, the lobby is created from black cypress, the walls are thick to withstand hurricanes, the restaurant serves the finest cuisine in the most elegant setting. Casa Marine is old-school reserved, elegant, and grand. It's quiet and far removed from Old Town, even although it's a short bicycle ride away. You can get rooms that come with a sunset cruise and champagne. You can get all the luxury you want- it's located on the Atlantic Ocean on Reynolds Street.
The Pier House, on the other hand, is situated right in the heart of downtown (Old Town) and on the waterfront. It's got great friendly service, beautiful rooms, and live piano jazz music at night. Pier House is actually a complex of several buildings, including the Caribbean Spa, which has a beauty salon and a spa. Step out the front door and you're standing on Duval Street, ready to go. Don't even think about driving your car, since you're within walking distance to most things if you stay here.
Next up is The Gardens Hotel. It's in Old Town too, but not in the thick of things on the waterfront like Pier House. It's located at 526 Angela Street on the corner of Simonton. It's a small hotel and the building itself used to be the home of an eccentric lady who plastered the grounds with all sorts of jungle plants and trees. Hence the name, since the landscaping is still beautiful. The brick walkways are charming and the odd-shaped pool lends itself so well to the natural lush surroundings of the gardens. All this is doubly beautiful at night, when it's all lit up outside.
