Key West Hotels
Half the fun of visiting Key West is choosing your Key West hotel. That's because Key West has more options in places to stay than anywhere else in the Florida Keys. We have guest houses, inns, hotels, resorts, and even the larger chain hotels that offer so many amenities and extra features. There has been a boom in new guest houses in the past twenty years, and they are everywhere in Key West, each one unique from the others. Want convenience and reliability? Stay at one of the larger Key West hotels such as the Sheraton Key West or the Radisson Key West. Want watersports and charterboats to come to you? Stay at a deluxe waterfront hotel such as the Westin or Casa Marina, who have their own in-house watersports rentals and on-site charterboat captains who will pick up you up right at your hotel.

Do you seek historical charm and to be within walking distance of Old Town, Key West's center of life? Stay at Curry Mansion Inn or their adjacent guest house. Want party fun on the beach? Try Atlantic Shores, on the Atlantic and a stone's throw from the Southernmost Point. Historic charm in a gorgeous Victorian mansion? The Southernmost Point Guest House has wide porches, swings, and a garden. It's the former mansion of a cigar maker.
You can choose to stay right on Duval Street, where you won't miss any action. It will all be unfolding under your nose, especially if you book a room facing the street, with a porch! The best time for this type of room is during Fantasy Fest, when Duval Street is a constant parade of costumes, floats, body-painted partyers, and all sorts of freaky odditys that have made this annual October festival so famous.
Check out the condo vacation rentals along the southern edge of Key West, along Atlantic Blvd or South Roosevelt. You get everything you need for comfort, including kitchen, linens, washer and dryer, and more. Walk to the beach every day, then ride your bicycle or take a taxi downtown for dinner. Splendid! If you like vacation rentals, which are great for visitors staying a week or more, check out Truman Annex. A former Navy yard, this beautiful section of Key West is chock full of historic homes, picket fences, perfectly manicured lawns and quiet streets. Many of the homes are vacation rentals, available to anyone who will pay the price. Truman Annex is also located right downtown, in Old Town. Walk to everything, including Mallory Square, Duval Street, charter fishing boats, and restaurants.
One resort that stands out even amongst the great variety of accommodation choices in Key West hotels, is the Casa Marina. This grand old dame was built in 1922 as the crown jewel in what was to be Flager's (railroad magnate) string of classy hotels down Southern Florida and his great railroad. It's built in historical Spanish style, with red tiled roof, it's very elegant. The only drawback is that it's not close to downtown, although Key West is so small this hardly matters.
There are many top notch places to stay while on Holidays to Key West.
