Key West Guest Houses

Want to know more about Key West guest houses? Key West is famous for a lot of things, like tropical sunsets, Jimmy Buffet, Fantasy Fest, and conch houses. It's also famous for the numerous options for visitors, when it comes to staying in a guest house. Many of the historical conch houses for which Key West architecture has become so famous, have been turned in to Key West guest houses over the years. Not one is anything like the others, which is what makes them so charming. For some vacationers, the guest house experience is one of the most memorable parts of a Key West vacation. In case you were wondering, a guest house is really a B & B, but for some reason they're not called B&B's here in Key West. Perhaps it's because they dont' all serve breakfast.

Southernmost Point Guest House

This old Victorian house is located at 1327 Duval Street. Just walk south on Duval towards the Atlantic Ocean, and you'll get to Southernmost Point Guest House at the end of Duval by the water. It used to be the home of a prosperous cigar maker in town. There are just a handful of rooms, and the experience is very personal and warm.

The Cypress House

Cypress House is number 601 on Caroline Street, one of the loveliest and most historical streets in Key West. You can choose to have your own bath, or share a bath. They have both types of rooms. They have a pool, which may guest houses can boast, but the pool at Cyrpess House is a 40-foot lap pool, which is a bit unusual for the historic guest houses. They serve cocktails by the pool every night, to get you started on your evening in Key West. They are proud of their Key Lime Coolers, which you must try at the evening poolside cocktail hour. With other amenities common to guest houses these days, like high-speed internet and on-site bicycle rentals, plus the fact that their building is historic and beautifully renovated, Cypress House is one of the most popular guest houses in Key West these days.
