There is an articficial reef in between rock key and sand key, in 20 feet of water. Its kind of striking because it is surrounded by white sand. I couldn’t find much information on it online. One site says its a puzzle another says its something to do with a mounument to mariners.
[SinglePic not found]Its pretty cool spot. The reef doesn’t apppear to be designed with creating fish habitat in mind, but a bunch of fish have moved in any way. There are numerous mangrove snapper living on the reef now and one large but kind of shy jewfish.
